A British woman Samantha Jones, 51, have been arraigned in a Malaysian court after allegedly murd3ring her husband at their home in Malaysia. John William Jones, 62, was found with stab wounds beside a blood-stained kitchen knife. if found Guilty she will face de@th by hanging. Earlier today Jones was pictured being escorted barefoot by Royal Malaysian Police officers to court.
Mr Jones, a former firefighter originally from Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire, died on October 11 at the home he had lived in with his partner for 11 years. It has been reported that the couple uprooted to Langkawi as part of a ‘Malaysia Second Home’ programme, which grants foreigners long-stay visas. Police were called to the home after Samantha asked neighbours to ring for an ambulance, Chief Superintendent Iqbal Ibrahim told Hong Kong daily paper.
I was reported that a ‘heated argument’ led to Mr Jones’ murder. The former fireman was pronounced dead at the scene, suffering a single wound to the chest. Jones did not enter a plea today and her case was sent to a high court in Malaysia where she will next appear on November 29.
Prosecutors are expected to provide the defence with the postmortem, forensic and other related reports at the next hearing, Ms Kaur added.
Murd3r carries a mandatory de@th sentence by hanging in Malaysia, but the government plans to abolish the death penalty for all crimes. All executions are being put on hold pending changes to the law.
