Mother of 6,
Lattia Baumeister, flew to Miami to have cosmetic surgery on her butt. Many
women are drawn to Florida to have cosmetic surgery because of the lost costs
involved. However, there’s a risk involved and women pay with their life.
Baumeister
recently had a baby as her youngest child was 5 months and her eldest child was
15. Maybe she felt the pressure to snap back. Tragically, we’ll never know.
According to the
Daily Mail, Baumeister had the procedure done at Seduction by Jardon’s Medical
Center in Doral by Dr. Osakatukei ‘Osak’ Omulepu.
In case that name
sounds familiar to you, it’s probably because this very same doctor has been
involved in numerous malpractice lawsuits over botched surgeries.
The Daily Mail
reported that his medical license was revoked in April by the state’s medical
board. However, due to an appeal, that ruling was overturned and Dr. Omulepu
was able to practice again. Even on the day of Baumeister’s surgery, the
Department of Health tried to stop the doctor from performing certain cosmetic
procedures but they were unsuccessful.
During the surgery, the married mother of 6 stopped breathing mid-procedure and was rushed to a local hospital where she later died, police records show. The doctor’s attorney said Omulepu was ‘absolutely devastated’ by Baumeister’s death as this is the first time has has lost a patient during surgery.
