Brian Alejo, 21, is accused of repeatedly stabbing his 51-year-old dad Victor, leaving him fighting for his life, after an argument inside the family's home turned violent.
After attacking his parents, Alejo fled and hid inside a garage for several hours before starting a fire that engulfed the entire house and damaged a neighbouring home.
His mother Rosa, who suffered a black eye, said she wants her son to face justice after he stabbed his father 16 times and attacked her as
she came to her bloodied husband's aid.

She said her son launched the attack for no apparent reason, stabbing his father 16 times.
He was likely high on drugs, she added.
Mrs Alejo wants him to face justice even though he is her son
