Two sisters who called themselves the "world’s most identical twins" plea for them to be allowed to marry their shared boyfriend of 6 years. The Identical twins have been dating the same man and set to marry him soon.
Anna and Lucy De Cinque, 33, have been dating Ben Byrne for six years and now believe the time is right to take the unusual relationship to the next level.
Speaking at the same time on Australia TV's Hughesy, We Have a Problem, the sisters said: "Okay, so we share a partner Ben and we would like marry him one day but the law in Australia says we can't, so what do we do?"
They've shared the clip on their own Instagram page with the caption: "We share a unique problem. WE WANT TO MARRY THE SAME MAN."
But since their outcry, Anna and Lucy found the law in Australia prevents them both marrying the mechanic.
Polygamy, having more than one wive, is indeed banned under the Marriage Act 1961, in the country.
Yet the twins, from Perth, claim they've always had the vision in mind with Ben.
Their Instagram bio reads: "World’s most identical twins."
"We were upfront that we came as a package, and he insisted that was fine with him," Anna previously had told The Sun.
Lucy said: "Being a non-identical twin himself, he said that he understood our bond.”
“We were still nervous, though.
“We knew some guys might think it was kinky to date twins and see us as a trophy, so we had to feel sure that Ben genuinely liked both of us before we agreed to meet him.”
Ben lived a 40-minute drive away from the inseparable sisters, until he moved in with them and their mum in 2017.
Lucy added: "Ben treats us completely equally. If he kisses Anna, he kisses me right after, and holds both our hands when we’re out.
“We all sleep together, but it’s not like a threesome as we don’t get involved with each other. Some people say it’s disgusting, but it works for us.”
