Dino's Saga enters the third day, and policemen keeping vigil at the house of Senator Dino Melaye in Abuja. The Police has fired tear-gas canisters into his compound on Sunday also cutting of Power and Water supply into the Melaye's House.

The policemen were said to have fired several shots of the canisters with the view to forcing out the senator, whom they believe is hiding inside the building.

Officers of the Nigerian Police Force had invaded the house of the senator on Friday to effect his arrest over allegations he was involved in the shooting of an officer in July 2018.

Electricity supply to his house was also cut off on Saturday.

It was gathered that neighbours living within the area were not spared, as many of them inhaled the tear-gas, and had difficulties breathing. The entire atmosphere was also said to have been enveloped in thick smoke emanating from the house. The incident has led to confusion in the area.

The Police have blocked the entire Shanga Street in Maitama, where the house is located, and prevented many residents from gaining access to their houses. Residents of the area have decried the presence of the policemen, stating that it is an affront on their fundamental human rights. Both human and vehicular movement in the area have been restricted, as only residents with proper identification are allowed into the area.

The house directly behind Melaye's has also been taken over by the Police in the attempt to prevent him from escaping through the fence. Journalists covering the siege were chased away from the area.

The lawmaker's brother, Moses Melaye, had raised the alarm that the Police may have perfected a plan to plant ammunition in the house to implicate him.

At the time of this report, the whereabouts of the senator could not be ascertained, but he has promised to surrender himself to the Police.

A baby has broken a hospital's record for the heaviest newborn after at weighting 14-pound, 13-ounce.

Jennifer Medlock gave birth to her son Ali earlier this month and was shocked to learn he was the heaviest baby ever born at the hospital in Texas.

The mum-of-two and her husband Eric welcomed their son at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital on December 12.

A spokesperson for Texas Health resources confirmed to USA Today that Ali is the heaviest baby born ever born there to their knowledge.

Jennifer said the doctor who delivered Ali said he was the biggest baby he's ever delivered in his 30 year career.

The proud mum said she expected her son to be around 10-pounds, the same weight as her now two-year-old daughter.

But she was shocked when Ali was more than four pounds heavier.

"We did not expect 14 pounds," she said. "Nobody did."

Ali was delivered via a scheduled cesarean section and was admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit because of his low blood sugar and platelet which Jennifer says were because of his size.

He quickly improved and was discharged on December 19 and mum and baby are both doing well.

PDP Release More Fact about Buhari Owning Etisalat and Keystone, Dares Apc to Challenge it

December 28, 2018 0 Comments
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign organization has released more fact about buhari's ownership of the some companies and declared that Nigeria’s president and candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari, no longer has the moral standing to seek re-election until he directly responds to corruption allegations by its candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

The PDP presidential candidate had demanded a probe into the ownership of Etisalat Nigeria and Keystone Bank.

Mr Abubakar in a statement by a spokesperson, Phrank Shaibu, said the call was necessary, “in view of reports that members of Mr Buhari’s family now own substantial share in Etisalat Nigeria, which has an estimated $2 billion (about N727 billion at 360 per dollar) of its estimated $20 billion global net worth.”

The PDP campaign council, in a statement signed by its director, media and publicity, Kola Ologbondiyan, said that Mr Buhari should perish the thought of going ahead with his re-election campaign without clearing what he described as a pertinent issue, because it directly bothers on his integrity, both as a person and the exalted office of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“The PDP Presidential Campaign challenges President Buhari to explain how his family members came about the sum of N1.032 trillion for this scandalous acquisition,” Mr Ologbondiyan said in a statement.

He said Nigerians are not interested in “mere rhetoric or attempts by the Buhari Presidency to divert public attention from the issue at hand, but demand that President Buhari, who hitherto, prides himself as Mr. Integrity, squarely addresses these grave issues in person.”

“This is not an issue for President Buhari’s aides to howl about in the media, it touches directly on his person, particularly his perception as a symbol of the Talakawas. He must therefore address them on this issue.”

“It is a norm that he who comes to equity must come with clean hands. President Buhari and his family members have entangled themselves in corruption. Mr. President’s hands can no longer be said to be clean, until he proves otherwise.”

The campaign organization said it wants Nigerians and the whole world to note that Mr Buhari’s refusal to personally address the matter means consent.

Mr Ologbondiyan dared Mr Buhari to put forth a denial on the disclosure by Mr Abubakar, adding that the party will spare no thoughts in furnishing the public with details of his corrupt activities, within and outside Nigeria.

“Our party has full details of how persons related to President Buhari, by consanguinity and affinity, have been paved the way to loot trillions of naira from government agencies for corrupt acquisition of shares in major companies, purchase expensive property within and outside Nigeria, as well as to finance their very luxury lifestyles, under Mr. President’s cover.”

“In fact, no Nigerian has made more money in the last three and half years than relations of President Buhari, many of whom have found themselves controlling stupendous wealth frittered from our economy, yet our President is asking Nigerians to get ready for more hardship in the coming year.”

He also stated that his party is privy to facts of how the relations of the president have been hounding government agencies, major business concerns and intending foreign investors over kickbacks as well as strangulating companies that refuse to accede to their demands.

“Nigerians will also recall how the Buhari Presidency muted the case of the Aide of the First Lady, Mr. Baba-Inna, who was arrested in September this year, over accusations of receiving N2.5 billion from politicians, businessmen and women on behalf of the First Lady.”

“Nigerians can also recall how the Buhari Presidency gagged the confession of one Amina Mohammed, paraded by the Department of State Services (DSS), who stated in public that persons close to President Muhammadu Buhari were involved in serial fraud and looting of public resources under the official cover of the Buhari Presidency.

“In fact, there is incontrovertible evidence, as provided by the Governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, that President Buhari is not as clean as his handlers want Nigerians to believe.

“In October 4, 2010, el-Rufai accused Buhari of corruption in allowing 53 suitcases, belonging to his ADC’s father, to enter Nigeria, unchecked, at a time the country was exchanging old currency for new in 1984.”

He further stated that the president should not continue to dress himself in what he described as borrowed garb of integrity until he cleans himself of the “stinking corruption of his acolytes, family and friends, under his cover.”

Responding to the allegations by the PDP campaign organization, spokesperson of the Buhari Presidential Campaign Organization, Festus Keyamo, in a statement sent to PREMIUM TIMES accused the PDP of a plot to release a series of wild, unsubstantiated allegations against the president and vice president, Mr Osinbajo, including their friends and family members, in the next few weeks.

“With the latest revelation,” he said, “the said shares are rather linked to relatives of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, it has become a case of the thief calling the farm owner the thief, as the Yorubas would say, in a popular proverb.
These impending wild allegations would naturally border on corrupt practices, without any evidential basis.”

Mr Keyamo said the purpose is to attempt to dent the greatest forte of the president and vice president, which, according to him, is their personal integrity, ahead of the 2019 elections.

He said the latest tactics of the main opposition is premised on the following grounds:

“Since their stuttering campaigns started, they have felt the pulse of Nigerians and realized Nigerians have not forgotten their misdeeds of 16 years whilst in office.

“They have decided to run a campaign of “we-are-all-corrupt” rather than defend their sordid records of merciless looting of the public purse, which has brought us to where we are today.

“The aim is to push Nigerians to equate an Alhaji Atiku Abubakar with President Muhammadu Buhari on matters of corruption. They want to deceive Nigerians to think that the 2019 elections is really a choice between two “corrupt” persons.

“By repeating the lies a million times, they aim to get Nigerians to begin to give some serious thought to the lies. This is how the “Jubrin from Sudan” story started, before even some well-exposed and educated Nigerians were nearly converted on that issue.

“Their latest desperate diversionary tactics is because even the most uneducated Nigerian has now understood that all the issues upon which the main opposition is campaigning are self-indicting issues, especially on the Economy and Security.”

He said the foundation for the challenges in these sectors, are firmly rooted in what he termed as “16 years of disastrous governance which he said President Buhari has just started re-building.

Mr Keyamo said Nigerians should brace up for six weeks of despicable lies from the pit of hell against the president and vice president, to try to suggest to Nigerians that the president and his deputy are part of the league of looters to which the PDP belongs.

“But Nigerians should understand that the choices before them have never been this clear: It is between a fugitive from the law in America and a President who has never been accused of stealing anything in his entire life and is respected both locally and internationally;”

“It is between a man who claims he wants to ‘get Nigeria working again’ yet has always refused to pay his taxes AS AT WHEN DUE and a man who has NEVER cheated the Nigerian State.”

No Fewer than 700 Soldiers Missing, and 2,000 Trapped’ As Boko Haram Takes Over Baga

December 28, 2018 0 Comments
News coming from North Eastern part Nigeria has it, that no fewer than 700 soldiers are missing with more than 2,000 trapped following a Boko Haram attack on Thursday that culminated in the loss of Baga, a town in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State, by the Nigerian Army.

A faction of the insurgents loyal to Abu Musab al-Barnawi attacked Baga, lying northeast of Kukawa, and succeeded in dislodging the soldiers and hoisting their flags.

According to an aid worker who spoke with SaharaReporters, “a large number of soldiers are still missing and many others are trapped.”

“Boko haram has taken over Baga town,” said the source. “More than 2,000 troops are there trapped, and 700 are missing. [Air Force] jets cannot do anything now because the soldiers are trapped in their midst”.

SaharaReporters could not independently verify the figures being mentioned, but a security source said it was "highly possible", considering Baga is the headquarters of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) — a formation comprising units, mostly military, from Benin, Cameroon, Chad, Niger, and Nigeria, and boasting between 7,500 and 10,000 personnel.

A security source confirmed the attack and the disappearance of “a high number of soldiers”.

“So many soldiers, likely in their hundreds, are missing,” he said. “Even the Baga Brigade Commander is back in Maiduguri, which means he must have escaped when he saw that his team was overwhelmed.”

The source also confirmed that the insurgents set the MNJTF headquarters ablaze, and made away with military equipment.

The Army, though, continues to deny that the town has been overrun by insurgents.

In a statement released on Friday, Sani Usman, Director of Army Public Relations, said the sidurgents were the ones fleeing.

“Please recall that yesterday, Wednesday 26th December 2018 suspected Boko Haram terrorists attacked the headquarters of 7 Brigade Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Baga, Borno State, at about 7.00pm,” he said in a statement.

“The troops along with their Nigerian Navy counterparts put up a very determined fight to repel the attack throughout the night, while Sector 3 Operation LAFIYA DOLE sent in reinforcement who are in hot pursuit of the terrorists. Similarly, a Search and Rescue team has been constituted.

“The Nigerian Air Force component has also been mobilised and are engaging the fleeing terrorists. Unfortunately, a naval personnel was killed in action. So far, no further details of casualties yet as efforts are ongoing to clear the terrorists hiding in Baga and environs.”

Bride-to-be Threatened to Withdraw her Wedding Invitation to Guests - See Why

December 28, 2018 0 Comments
A bride to be is threatened to withdraw her wedding invite to guest for not presenting her with cash as gift during her engagement party.

As shared on Reddit, the woman threatened to un-invite guests to her wedding day after they didn’t give her cash as an engagement gift. The woman said that she had been clear in asking for cash rather than gifts at her engagement party, and was pretty irritated when people turned up with ‘small gifts that serve no purpose’.

So irritated, in fact, that she messaged guests to ask why she hadn’t been given the cash she’d asked for. ‘I specified on the invitation that we were requesting cash only in lieu of gifts,’ wrote the bride-to-be.

‘We have a mountain of debt and would like to start our marriage with a fresh slate and figured this would be a great opportunity to do so. ‘Well the party was last night and not one person brought us cash. ‘They all brought small gifts that serve no purpose to us and it was hard for me to mask my irritation.

‘We invited upwards of thirty people, most of which showed up and all we got out of it were some household items that we already have.’

The bride said she ended up going to bed at 9pm because she couldn't stop wondering why.

CBN Settles Dispute With MTN Nigeria for $52.6M Instead of Earlier $8.1bn

December 27, 2018 0 Comments
The Central Bank of Nigeria has agree to settle its dispute with MTN Nigeria for $52.6M against the Earlier amount of $8.1bn.

CBN has agree to reduced the amount it claims MTN improperly repatriated to SA from $8.1bn to $52.6m, which equates to about R764m at Thursday morning's exchange rate of R14.52/$.

“MTN Nigeria and the Central Bank of Nigeria have agreed that they will resolve the matter on the basis that MTN Nigeria will pay the notional reversal amount without admission of liability,” the cellphone network said in a Sens statement on Thursday morning.

When its dispute with Nigeria's central bank was announced in early September, MTN's share price tumbled by over a third from about R110 to R70.
MTN said it had provided documents to Nigerian officials which satisfied them that all but a $1bn preference share placement in 2008 had been done with the required approvals.

The preference share placement, however, required “certificates of capital importation” which had received approval-in-principle, but not final regulatory approval from Nigeria's central bank, MTN said.

To settle this dispute, MTN agreed to reverse the transaction at a net cost of about 19.2-billion naira, or about R764m rand.

“In terms of the resolution agreement, the Central Bank of Nigeria will regularise all the certificates of capital importation issued on the investment by shareholders of MTN Nigeria of circa $402,625,419 without regard to any historical disputes relating to those certificates of capital importation, thereby bringing to a final resolution all incidental disputes arising from this matter,” MTN said.

The statement indicated that commercial banks implicated in the dispute have not been left off the hook yet.

The settlement with Nigeria's central bank has also not ended MTN's tax dispute with the country's attorney general.

“Shareholders are advised that the legal process initiated by MTN Nigeria for injunctive relief restraining the attorney general from taking further action in respect of its orders for back taxes is continuing. The attorney general matter came up for initial mention before the Federal High Court of Nigeria Lagos Judicial Division on November 8, 2018 and has been adjourned to February 7, 2019,” Thursday morning's statement said.

“MTN Nigeria continues to maintain that its tax matters are up to date and no additional payment, as claimed by the attorney general, is due, and consequently no provisions or contingent liabilities are being raised in the accounts of MTN Nigeria for the  attorney general back taxes claim.”

Boko Haram: Pandemonium Strikes as Terrorist Group Beheads Governor's Security Aide

December 27, 2018 0 Comments
Members of Boko Haram terrorist group, Wednesday, beheaded a security aide of Governor Ibrahim Gaidam in Kukareta, a suburb of Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.

The victim, Inspector Ahmed, alongside his colleagues, was returning to Damaturu after an official assignment in Maiduguri before he was captured by the terror sect.

It was gathered that they met the Boko Haram insurgents who dressed in military uniform at a roadblock.

The gallant Police Officer, it was learnt, approached the terrorists to inquire from them the reason for blocking the high way.

The insurgents instantly shot Inspector Ahmed and subsequently beheaded him, while the remaining police escorts ran back without any attempt to rescue their colleague.

A police source who does not want his name to be published confirmed the killing and the beheading of the Inspector.

The source described the incident as unfortunate, saying the Inspector passed away when the police command in the state needed him the most.

“However, from God we came and to him we shall return. We have no authority to query God.

“We leave it as an act of God and ask God to forgive his sins. The best we can do to him is to continue to work and defend what he died for”, the source said.

Recalled that Boko Haram insurgents stormed a military base in Kukareta village Wednesday killing scores.

In November, Rampaging Boko Haram insurgents also overran a Nigerian Army battalion in Borno State, killing the unit’s commander and dozens of soldiers.

A video of the raid released by the insurgents caused outrage online. The video showed that the insurgents were better equipped than the army they raided.

Another video released by surviving soldiers of the raided battalion had soldiers showing obsolete equipment they are given to combat a better equipped boko haram. They called on the Nigerian state to provide them with latest combat equipment.

Transfer News: Chelsea Agrees a Swap Deal for Gonzalo Higuain with Alvaro Morata Joining AC Milan

December 25, 2018 0 Comments
Chelsea and AC Milan have reportedly reached an agreement to swap Alvaro Morata for Gonzalo Higuain when the transfer window reopens in January. Both strikers have endured underwhelming campaigns, with Morata not even making the Chelsea squad for the last three Premier League matches while Higuain has not scored since October.

But according to Sport Mediaset, the two sides are ‘perfecting the final details’ of an exchange which is now described as inevitable, with just the nature of the swap still to be decided.

Technically, Higuain is still on loan at San Siro from Juventus, so the Italian champions must give their approval to the deal, but club bosses believe upcoming games against Frosinone and SPAL will be his final, goodbye appearances.

There are two options on the table, and the first would see Higuain’s loan at Milan terminated and he would move to Stamford Bridge on loan instead – with the possibility to make it permanent in the summer – with Morata going the other way on an 18-month loan of his own.

'You Get Nothing': Steve Jobs' Ruthless Words to Daughter Before his Death

December 24, 2018 0 Comments
Lisa Brennan-Jobs was just 2 years-old when his father's company went public and overnight Jobs was worth $200 million. When Lisa Jobs was born on a farm in 1978, her father was nowhere to be seen.

Her mother Chrisann had fallen pregnant during an on-again, off-again relationship with the man who had become the famous founder of Apple, Steve Jobs.

But for the first two years of his first child's life, Jobs denied the baby girl was his.
It was a tough start in life for the now 40-year-old, who endured a strained relationship with her father and his second family.
Brennan-Jobs, a writer, has just penned a new book, Small Fry, which details that troubled relationship with the tech genius.

In an excerpt published by Vanity Fair, Brennan-Jobs describes how it took legal action for her father to acknowledge her.
little Lisa and mother Chrisann Brennan. Photo / Supplied

"In the spring of 1978, when my parents were 23, my mother gave birth to me on their friend Robert's farm in Oregon, with the help of two midwives," she wrote

"My father arrived a few days later. 'It's not my kid,' he kept telling everyone at the farm."
Jobs chose his baby daughter's name — Lisa, but for the next two years he contributed nothing else
"Until I was two, my mother supplemented her welfare payments by cleaning houses and waitressing. My father didn't help," she wrote.

In 1980, Steve Jobs was finally sued for child support payments — something he did not take kindly to.

"My father responded by denying paternity, swearing in a deposition that he was sterile and naming another man he said was my father," Brennan-Jobs wrote.

But the child took a DNA test, which gave a 94.4 per cent chance the two were related — the highest possible at that time.

As a result, Jobs was forced to pay US$385 ($570) a month — which he increased to US$500 ($742) — as well as medical insurance until his daughter turned 18.

Just four days after the case was finalised after having been rushed through by Jobs' lawyers, Apple went public.

Overnight, Jobs was worth $200 million.

By the time Brennan-Jobs was seven, she and her mother had moved 13 times, renting places "informally" and relying on friends to house them.

Her father showed up around once a month, driving a black Porsche convertible while his child and ex-partner struggled to get by.

But despite his coldness, the little girl was fascinated by her "multi-millionaire" dad and clung to the belief he had named the "Lisa" computer after her.

Later in her childhood, Brennan-Jobs would occasionally stay with her father as her mother took college classes.

During one of those visits, the girl finally found the courage to ask her father if she could have his car once he was finished with it — an innocent question from a child that sparked a vicious reply.

"'Absolutely not', he said in such a sour, biting way that I knew I'd made a mistake," she wrote. 'You're not getting anything', he said. 'You understand? Nothing. You're getting nothing.'

"Did he mean about the car, something else, bigger? I didn't know. His voice hurt — sharp, in my chest. I had made a terrible mistake and he'd recoiled."

Brennan-Jobs offered a partial explanation for her father's continued distance: "I was a blot on a spectacular ascent, as our story did not fit with the narrative of greatness and virtue he might have wanted for himself. My existence ruined his streak," she wrote.
The coldness from her father and his new family — wife Laurene Powell and their three children, Eve, Reed and Erin Jobs — remained, even as Jobs was dying.

Brennan-Jobs described avoiding her brother, sisters and stepmother around the house during a sickbed visit "so I wouldn't be … hurt when they didn't acknowledge me or reply to my hellos".

OMG!! Identical Twins Dating the Same Man Set to Marry him Soon - PHOTO

December 24, 2018 0 Comments
Two sisters who called themselves the "world’s most identical twins" plea for them to be allowed to marry their shared boyfriend of 6 years. The Identical twins have been dating the same man and set to marry him soon.

Anna and Lucy De Cinque, 33, have been dating Ben Byrne for six years and now believe the time is right to take the unusual relationship to the next level.

Speaking at the same time on Australia TV's Hughesy, We Have a Problem, the sisters said: "Okay, so we share a partner Ben and we would like marry him one day but the law in Australia says we can't, so what do we do?"

They've shared the clip on their own Instagram page with the caption: "We share a unique problem. WE WANT TO MARRY THE SAME MAN."

But since their outcry, Anna and Lucy found the law in Australia prevents them both marrying the mechanic.

Polygamy, having more than one wive, is indeed banned under the Marriage Act 1961, in the country.

Yet the twins, from Perth, claim they've always had the vision in mind with Ben.

Their Instagram bio reads: "World’s most identical twins."

"We were upfront that we came as a package, and he insisted that was fine with him," Anna previously had told The Sun.

Lucy said: "Being a non-identical twin himself, he said that he understood our bond.”

“We were still nervous, though.

“We knew some guys might think it was kinky to date twins and see us as a trophy, so we had to feel sure that Ben genuinely liked both of us before we agreed to meet him.”

Ben lived a 40-minute drive away from the inseparable sisters, until he moved in with them and their mum in 2017.

Lucy added: "Ben treats us completely equally. If he kisses Anna, he kisses me right after, and holds both our hands when we’re out.

“We all sleep together, but it’s not like a threesome as we don’t get involved with each other. Some people say it’s disgusting, but it works for us.”

Nigeria Will not Survive if Buhari Goes ahead to Win 2019 Election - Peter Obi

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Vice-presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi has said that with President Muhammdu Buhari leading Nigeria the country is going no where saying that ‘Nigeria will not survive if Buhari’s goes ahead with plans to tax “poor Nigerians,” in line with provisions of the proposed budget which is largely focused on debt servicing.’ Obi further decried the economic situation in Nigeria saying: “Unless the right steps are taken to stop the bleeding, we will still be where we have been for years.

“It’s going to be difficult but we know where we are going and what we are going to do. To put the Nigerian economy back on a sound footing, we have to take a holistic look at SMEs because only then will you rescue the dwindling economy.

“We need to change the way we do things in this country if we ever hope to come out of this economic quagmire we have found ourselves in. We must change the way we do things in this country or we will continue to grope in the dark.

Obi in Lagos yesterday said : “We need to know where we are going as a nation but with Buhari at the helms of affairs, we do not know where we are going. Buhari is not in charge of this government as he does not know or care what the poor people are going through,”.

“Nigerians are currently the poorest people on earth, yet the Muhammadu Buhari administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is still looking at taxing them the more.

“Take look at the budget presented by the President a few days ago and you will see that it does not give anyone hope instead, it tells us that we are still where we have always been. “A quarter of the budget is meant to service debts, and that is about 60% of the budget while the President keeps telling Nigerians to tighten their belts because of the harsh times staring at us in the future.

“Does that give anyone confidence in this government? Not at all, I dare say. While presenting the budget, he said that the government is looking for ways to tax Nigerians the more. What are you taxing the poor people for?

We Demand an Apology from EFCC Over Seizure of $2.8m - Bankers Warehouse

December 23, 2018 0 Comments
Bankers Warehouse, the company whose officials were arrested by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission with $2.8 million cash, said they demand an apology from the anti-graft EFCC agency who erred in intercepting the money.

EFCC said the two Bankers Warehouse officials, Ighoh Augustine and Ezekwe Emmanuel, were arrested at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu on the suspicion of money laundering.

But Bankers Warehouse insisted that its officials did nothing wrong and that such movement of money was legitimate since it was licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

“We hereby state emphatically that the movement of this currency was a legitimate exercise, being carried out on behalf of a legitimate Financial Institution,” the Bankers Warehouse said in a statement.

“We emphasize that our employees are in no way criminals, carrying out any act of illegality as the EFCC has tried to portray.

“The young men whose character and reputation have been deliberately soiled by the EFCC operatives were conducting their legitimate duties as requested by a bank customer of our company.”

The company’s claims were corroborated on Saturday by Union Bank, which claimed the ownership of the money.
Union Bank in a series of tweet said it was “surprised by the release of a news bulletin prior to the completion of @officialefcc investigation.”

Bankers Warehouse is now demanding a retraction and an apology from the EFCC.

“We also demand an immediate retraction by the EFCC and an apology issued to our company and our employees whose images have been maligned.

Our client who has been unfairly exposed and accused of implied illegality, and whose money is still being improperly held by the EFCC operatives, deserve a very special apology for the disclosure of their business and damage done to their image.”

Mother Ban Christmas Celebrations and Presents for her Little boy Forever - See Why

December 23, 2018 0 Comments
A British mum has ban or rather refuses to buy her little boy a Christmas present for life.

“Ho ho ho” has become “no no no” after Lisa Norman got fed up with the festive season becoming “a disgusting exercise in rampant consumerism”.

Research shows a typical family splurges £540 on Christmas. But when two-year-old Neil wakes up on Tuesday, there will be no stocking at the end of his bed – and no presents under the tree.

Instead Lisa, 31, is putting money into an account that will go towards a deposit for Neil’s first HOUSE.

As well as snubbing Christmas she doesn’t buy Neil a prezzie on his birthday either.

She said: “You see these photos showing the huge amount of gifts people are buying their kids in the run-up to Christmas. There’s huge pressure on parents to buy children lots of presents, especially with social media.

“It is ridiculous. We’re not struggling financially but we thought the money could be used for other things. We don’t want to spoil him with stuff he doesn’t need, so we just get him nothing.”

Neil was born prematurely and was expected to die within minutes, but is now a healthy toddler.

Stay-at-home mum Lisa, of Leyland, Lancs, admits they were so thankful he survived that they could have gone to the other extreme of showering him with gifts.

But she added: “I think we’d just have ended up with a very spoilt child who thinks he’s entitled to everything.”

Neil will get a treat when he visits his grandparents, however. Lisa explained: “My mum loves Christmas and always cooks the dinner. She wants to make it special but she doesn’t go over the top.

“My parents have never been stupid with their gift-giving either. They always had a budget and the majority of it would be for essential things, topped up with a few fun things.”

Likewise, anything Neil gets in the future will be based on what he needs and what he has done to earn his gifts – clothes, a rucksack for nursery or educational aids.

Lisa went on: “He’s never going to be spoiled with absolutely everything, I know that now.

“We don’t give in to him wanting something. I’m sure he’ll realise come school age that me and his dad don’t buy him presents.”

The family’s greatest gift at Christmas, of course, is that Neil has grown into a happy, healthy boy.

And Lisa added: “That’s the most important thing.”

2019: Oshiomhole Vows to End Okorocha’s Familiocracy In Imo State

December 22, 2018 0 Comments
Oshiomhole, while addressing a crowd of party supporters, said that with emergence Hope as the next governor, APC will work hard to end the grip of familiocracy in the state.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole says that the election of Sen.Hope Uzodinma as the next governor of Imo state will be the end of Governor Rochas Okorocha’s familiocracy in Imo State.

This is just as he pointed out that unknown governorship candidates of unknown parties who have been using the picture of President Muhammadu Buhari along theirs are fake as only Sen. Uzodinma has been adopted by President Buhari.

The National Chairman also wondered how a sitting APC governor could deny his party’s gubernatorial candidate access to the stadium to flag off his campaign even when they have already paid for its use.

Oshiomhole, who was addressing a crowd of party supporters at the flag off the governership campaign of Sen. Uzodinma yesterday in Owerri, Imo state capital said that with Hope as the next governor that will be the end of familiocracy in the state.

He said he has come with a message of Hope for the suffering people of Imo state who have been under the yoke of a governor who has privatized the state.

According to him, “We have not come here to cry over what has gone wrong in the state . We come with a message of liberation of Imo state. Everything you see today in the state belongs to a family, but you have a reason to demand for a real change that will bring prosperity to everybody in the state. I bring you a message of Hope that the only qualification for getting a contract will no longer be determined if you are an in- law of the governor. I bring you a message of Hope that your money will be used to develop your state and not a personal private estate . I bring you a message of Hope that those workers and pensioners who have not been paid even when your governor has collected a bail out fund for the same purpose from the federal government will get paid when Hope becomes the governor.”

Oshiomhole said that the heat they are suffering will translate into victory and urged the people to punish Governor Okorocha for that. “I heard that Rochas said that when he was contesting for the governorship election in 2011 that Ohakim had denied him the use of the stadium and that was why he also denied Sen.Hope Uzodinma. He is copying the wrong thing. But the stadium was built with the money of the state .But at the end Ohakim failed and he is going to fail you people, you should punish him for that.”

Speaking earlier, Sen Hope Uzodinma pledged to work for the people of Imo saying that the era of government of deceit will be over.” Today I don’t want to make too much speech but I want to assure the people of Imo that with me as the next governor that the era of government by deceit and where only the members of the family are in charge will be over as every Imo indigene would be part and parcel of the government because it will be their government.”

Dignatries at the campaign include members of the National Working Committee of the party, all the governirship candidates of the party from South East, Sen. Ali Modu Sherrif, Imo state Deputy Governor Prince Eze Madumere, Sen. Benjamin Uwajumogu and members of the Imo APC Coalition.
